THE BAND

After a while you start to lose sight of yourself
Whoever's poison it wasn't so good for your health
Open a window and wish it on somebody else

And The Band Plays On
Hear The Slow Parade of Tears
And The Band Plays On for Years

After a while you start to lose sight of your friends
Everyone's scared of a monster when there's no defense
Look at those children Oh the innocence

And The Band Plays On
Hear The Slow Parade of Tears
And The Band Plays On for Years
And The Band Plays On
In a moment they'll be here
And The Band Plays ...

After the sounds of the crowd/turnaround/fade away
Stars coming down just to glitter the end of your day
Then in the moment you wish you had words to say

And The Band...

And The Band Plays On
Hear The Stoned Parade of Tears
And The Band Plays On for Years
And The Band Plays On
And the music disappears

FRONT DOOR

I left on Friday when there was no sky
No leaves were falling, no one passing by
So long ago I can’t remember why
On solid rock I was pathetic sand
I’m out of time and now I’m out of hand
I fell so hard I couldn’t feel the pain
I come home bleeding through the pouring rain
I couldn’t come away with less than your name
An empty floor across an empty room
If I come crawling back it’s way too soon.

I’ve been knocking on your front door
I can’t tell your face anymore
You say you love me but you’re just not sure
Knock knock knocking on your front door

I feel my fingers like its trigger time
I’m not in touch if you can’t touch my mind
Hey you ain’t givng no sight to the blind
I spent a lifetime just to get to you
If you won’t open up I’m coming through

I’ve been knocking on your front door
I can’t tell your face anymore
You say you love me but you’re just not sure
Knock knock knocking on your front door

I spent a lifetime just to get to you
If you won’t open up I’m coming through

I’ve been knocking on your front door
I can’t see your face anymore
You say you love me but you’re just not sure
Knock knock knocking on your front door

I say now knock knock knock
Your front door
I say now knock knock knock
Your front door
I say now knock knock knock
Your front door
Knock knock knocking on your front door
