On a windy night radio 63
It was four o’clock it suddenly came to me
I had no choice, I had to surrender a smile
The D.J.’s voice pulled my heart to the dial
He said go to RADIO CITY
On weekend nights there’s plenty to do in this town
You got girls & beers & cigarettes on the ground
But that’s ok I can take it, I can throw it away
I’d rather stay home nights, listen to the radio play
And I go to RADIO CITY
But nowadays the music can’t keep us home
You’ve got to spend big money for fear of being alone
& my heart calls out for radio spirits past
& the D.J.’s voice says he’s sorry but it couldn’t last
Get back to RADIO CITY
